Extracted from a real Facebook archive spanning 2008 to 2026. Timestamps, post numbers, and photo metadata are preserved exactly as they appear in the original archive. Post text, photos, file paths, and names have been replaced with placeholders.

What the Timeline contains

Every item with actionable information is included, numbered, and traceable to its source file. Nothing of merit is filtered or omitted. The original archive remains intact.

Cover page: archive owner, date range, total post and attachment count, generation date
Source table listing every JSON file the document was built from, with full archive paths
Hyperlinked table of contents by year and month — click any entry to jump to that section
Every post, photo, comment, group post, and note assigned a sequential exhibit number
Full timestamp to the second on every entry, in both UTC and local time
Archive file path after each item — traceable to its exact location in the original archive
Photo metadata when recorded in the archive: date and time actually taken, camera make and model, ISO, exposure, f-stop, focal length
Upload IP address recorded for each photo at the time it was posted to Facebook
Video attachments documented with file path and upload IP; MP4 files noted in place
Bates-stampable PDF — compatible with Adobe Acrobat and standard litigation tools

Five appendices capture what lives outside the main feed

The main timeline contains every post in chronological order. The appendices capture evidence that does not appear there.

A

Uncategorized Photos

Photographs present in the archive that cannot be attributed to a specific post. Included for completeness. Some may also appear in the main timeline under a different file path.

B

Posts on External Pages and Profiles

Every post the archive owner made on another person’s or organization’s page is collected in Appendix B (if it does not appear in the main timeline). The destination page is not recorded in the archive data, but the content and exact timestamp are preserved.

C

Photos and Videos Featuring the Archive Owner

Every instance where another user tagged the archive owner in a photo or video — tagger name, date, and Facebook media ID. That ID is the filename of the image in the posting party’s archive. If a Timeline has been produced for both parties, searching the other document for that ID locates the identical image. The ID may also be cited in a legal request to Meta to produce the original media.

D

Location Check-ins

Every location where the archive owner was tagged or checked in, with a precise timestamp. Check-ins are self-reported by the account holder at the time they occurred.

E

Event Responses and Invitations

Every Facebook event the archive owner was invited to or responded to — event name, scheduled dates and times, and the response: Joined, Interested, Declined, or Invited with no recorded response. The record of awareness is preserved regardless of whether the account owner attended.

Things that don’t appear anywhere else

Scrolling a Facebook profile shows public posts. The archive shows everything — and it shows things about those posts that the profile never reveals.

When the photo was actually taken When the archive records a capture timestamp that differs meaningfully from the posting time, it appears here. This photo was taken eleven days before it was posted. A missing capture timestamp does not mean the photo was taken at posting time — it means the archive contains no data on that question.

Who tagged the archive owner, and when Appendix C lists every instance where another person or organization tagged the archive owner in a photo or video. The Media ID is the filename of that image in the posting party’s archive. If a Timeline exists for both parties, that ID locates the identical photo in the other document.
